This Happy Birthday Banner was made for a girl’s rainbow party, but they would be right at home in a circus party, or even a medieval, knights-and-princesses or castle theme.
The letters for this banners were cut using my Cricut machine, and the triangle flag banners were cut by hand out of multicolored construction paper. The white circles add contrast for the letters and keep it looking clean, even with the multi-colored background.
On the top of each side of the triangle, cut a small slit, so that there is one on each side. Then thread the ribbon through the slits so that it comes out on the front of each side.
You can see we also covered the window with paper streamers in a rainbow pattern. This let some light filter through, and gave almost a stained-glass window effect when the lights were dim. More importantly, it blocked the dreary view outside, which was not very rainbow like!
